"The Law Reform Commission published a revised consolidation of the Credit Institutions (Stabilisation) Act 2010, updated to 14 July 2025. The Act, originally enacted in 2010, grants the Minister for Finance and the Central Bank powers to stabilise credit institutions through direction orders, special management, subordinated liabilities orders, and transfer orders. It was part of Ireland's response to the financial crisis under the EU/IMF programme. The revision includes amendments from the Central Bank and Credit Institutions (Resolution) Act 2011 and considers the General Government Secured Borrowings Order 2025 (S.I. No. 334/2025)."
