"The National Transport Authority (NTA) has rolled out contactless card payments on TFI Local Link Galway services, making it the seventh of 15 Local Link offices to introduce the technology. Passengers can now tap debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay for single journeys. The national rollout is approaching the halfway mark, driven by positive passenger feedback. Existing Leap cards, cash, and Free Travel cards remain valid. The move is part of modernising rural and regional public transport fare systems."
