NTA Shopper Survey: Sustainable transport accounts for majority of city centre spend in Irish cities (nationaltransport.ie)

• Sustainable transport generates 74% of city centre spend in Dublin.
• In Galway and Waterford, the share is 49% and 41% respectively.
• The survey was commissioned by Ireland's National Transport Authority.

"The National Transport Authority (NTA) published shopper surveys for five Irish cities. Sustainable transport modes (bus, rail, cycling, walking) generate the majority of city centre spending: 74% in Dublin, 52% in Cork, 49% in Limerick and Galway, and 41% in Waterford. Average spend per visit ranges from €51 in Galway to €90 in Dublin."
