"The EPA published Ireland's first National Climate Change Risk Assessment (NCCRA) on June 3, 2025. The report identifies 115 risks from projected climate changes, with 43 deemed significant. Two risks require urgent action within five years: disruption to communications and energy distribution due to extreme wind, and damage to buildings and transport infrastructure from wind, coastal erosion and flooding. The assessment informs adaptation planning."
