"The Irish Ombudsman Ger Deering, in his 2024 Annual Report, welcomed the Department of Transport's commitment to develop a new scheme supporting disabled people's access to personal transport, a gap since 2011. He also called for sustainable funding for younger people in nursing homes. Complaints to the Ombudsman rose over 30% since 2019, reaching 4,778 in 2024."
