"The Irish Fiscal Advisory Council is funded from the Central Fund with a statutory ceiling of €800,000, indexed to HICP inflation. It is audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General and reports to the Minister for Finance. The Council has six full-time staff and receives support services from the ESRI. Fees for non-public-sector chair and members are set by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform. Public sector members receive no fees but have a time buy-out arrangement. Attendance and expenses are published in the annual report."
