"The Irish government has published the Renewable Transport Fuel Policy 2025-2027, targeting a 20% biodiesel (B20) and 10% ethanol (E10) blend in transport fuels by 2030. The policy updates the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) to cover road and rail, introduces certificates for renewable electricity at public charge points, and aims to save 1.08 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions by 2030. It also strengthens sustainability criteria, phasing out palm oil-derived biofuels from July 2025."
