"Minister for Public Expenditure Jack Chambers provided the Irish Government with a progress report on updating the Ethics in Public Office legislation, a Programme for Government commitment. A comprehensive review found the framework needs integrity principles, stronger disclosure, possible expansion of coverage, and a strengthened Standards in Public Office Commission. Further consultations with end-users are planned before concrete reform proposals are brought to Government."
