CSO publishes Register of Public Sector Bodies 2025 - Provisional with updates to Central Government and Public Corporations (cso.ie)

• Added 9 entities to Central Government including Guardian ad litem, Gambling Regulatory Authority, National Concert Hall (reclassified)
• Removed 10 entities from Central Government including GSOC (replaced by Fiosrú), Policing Authority, and AIB-related entities from public corporations
• 11 new ESB renewable energy subsidiaries added to public corporations
• No changes to Local Government; joint ventures between central and local government listed

"The Central Statistics Office (CSO) released the provisional Register of Public Sector Bodies for 2025, effective May 2026. The register lists all entities in the general government sector and public corporations for Government Finance Statistics. Updates include new entities added to central government (e.g., Guardian ad litem National Service, National Concert Hall reclassified) and removals (e.g., An Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission replaced by Fiosrú). Several AIB group entities were removed from public corporations due to state share sale. No changes to local government. The register is based on ESA 2010 and market tests."
