"On 3 March 2026, the Irish Department of Transport published 'Moving Together – A Collaborative Approach to Systems Change in Transport 2026–2030', a strategy to fulfill a commitment in the Climate Action Plan 2023. It represents the 'Avoid' component of the Avoid-Shift-Improve paradigm for transport decarbonisation. The strategy aims to encourage collaboration across public, private, and community sectors to reduce congestion and improve efficiency. Implementation follows four principles: Just Transition, Accessibility and Inclusion, Rural Recognition, and Economic and Financial Sustainability."
