"The Joint Committee on Health published a report on 8 October 2025 on pre-legislative scrutiny of the Health (Assisted Human Reproduction) (Amendment) Bill. The Bill aims to address gaps in the 2024 Act regarding international donor assisted human reproduction (DAHR), recognition of parentage for Irish citizens abroad, and other amendments. The report makes 18 recommendations including a child-rights framework, equality proofing, and recognition of same-sex parents.
