In 2021, the Council published two Fiscal Assessment Reports, a Pre-Budget Statement, working papers, and analytical notes. It appeared before the Oireachtas Select Committee on Budgetary Oversight three times and held its fifth 'Path for the Public Finances' conference. The Council adopted several governance policies in line with the Code of Practice for State Bodies. A peer review by the OECD was published, and the Council is implementing its recommendations. The Council's membership includes five experts, with a gender balance of 60% male and 40% female."
